At the River’s Edge
Pink is Spring’s favorite color, but are these flowers on the trees by the river’s edge Or are these leaves that have fallen thickly on the banks, and it is really Fall Oil with brush and palette.

Color! My art is an expression of my quest to capture and represent color and its complex dance with light. With watercolor, I am enchanted by delicacy, by the transformative impact of a single stroke, by the competing impact of water and texture and brushwork. The Acrylic medium liberates my creativity in the abstract, paint on paint, color on color, a vivacious dialog between the different shade and hues, strokes and texture. Acrylics free me to imagine in the abstract. I discovered depth and shadows in oils, like a slow and somber music composition. With oils I take my time, to ponder over every color, to represent the satiny fabric, the wooden bark, the light on water, the shadow on a face. For paintings of people and landscapes, weaving different elements seamlessly, I have tried my hand at a more abstract and bold style. Nature teases me with its infinite palate of colors and variations of texture. More challenges that it will take me a lifetime to address and enjoy.
