Twister
Wandering (not much different from actually hiking) in a nature park, I came upon this sculptural vignette of live oak limbs spread out above me. I took some snapshots (photo sketches) and later selected this composition from the photos as the subject of this painting.

Clyde Beck
Looking for the extra-ordinary in the ordinary, his work seeks to convey the essence of what is seen and the spirit of the very still point moment in time it’s story represents.
Whether great and rugged mountains or bright sunrises, animals, flowers, or “just some rocks and leaves” there is a story behind what is represented before your eyes. Clyde has been seriously pursuing his art forms since the age of ten. Watercolor is a fave media, but also photography, digital art, and woodworking across over 3/4 of a century.
