Zenith’s Dance
"Zenith’s Dance" is a work at the crossroads of textures and symbols. The creative process involves a meticulous dyeing of the paper with delicate shades extracted from flowers and tea, thus offering an organic and natural palette. The circular motif symbolizes infinity, which is for me a symbol of cultivating an open mind to explore new horizons. Circular motifs, merged with threads in soft hues, compose the "Zenith’s Dance" by the seaside with a view of the mountains, creating a moment of tranquility and natural beauty.

Sylvie Levesque
Today, I identify as an abstract and figurative painter, who expresses my innermost emotions and experiences into my artwork. Utilizing watercolor, acrylic, oil, and mixed media, I craft layered and textured paintings, exploring the subtleties of my creative process.
Captivated by the complexity and expressiveness of the human figure, my paintings deliberately omit details such as facial features, arms, or legs. This intentional absence invites viewers to engage their imagination and emotions. In my artistic journey, I celebrate the interplay of colors and textures, breathing life into abstract landscapes and depictions of women on the canvas, evoking a sense of wonder in the observer.
As a self-taught artist, I take great pride in sharing my unique art process and personal story. Without the confines of traditional art education, I have had the freedom to explore my creativity and develop my own style. This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, as I have had to constantly push myself beyond my limits to improve my techniques and refine my vision.
My greatest joy stems from sharing my artwork and forging deep connections with others. A client once shared their experience, saying, "There’s an emotional depth to this piece that is difficult to put into words." I am humbled by the opportunity to engage others through my art.
Currently, I am associated with a SFWA gallery in San Francisco and participated in the "Human Being" show. In December 2023 to January 2024, one of my large pieces was exhibited, and two artworks were featured in the "Street Life" show in February 2024.
